Consignors

1) General Information

Clean out yours and your children\'s closets. Find clothes that are in excellent condition that your children have outgrown, and dig out those maternity clothes that you no longer want or need. Pick out the items that you would like to sell and decide on their value. Once sold, the sellers will receive 70% of the sale price. A non-refundable $5.00 registration fee is required at the scheduled time of drop-off for all consignors. Checks will be ready for pick-up at WiggleWorm on Tuesday, March 13, 2012. People who are consigning less than 10 items are expected to volunteer for a 2-hour shift. All consignors must volunteer for at least one hour.  However, if you volunteer for a 2-hour shift you will have the first opportunity to shop at 7:00 pm on Preview Night. Consignors who volunteer for only one hour are invited to shop at 8:00 pm on Preview Night. Volunteer shifts will be available for scheduling one week prior to the show.

It is very pertinent that your clothes are free of rips, stains, fuzz balls and visible signs of wear. It is the quality of the clothing that will make WiggleWorm Consignment Show successful. By having the highest level of clothing, everyone has a better show experience. The shoppers will know that they will not have to "dig" for the good stuff, and the consignors will know that their clothes will be sold. 

The key to a very successful sale is for everyone to spread the word, either by email or by word of mouth. Also, the more consignors we have, the bigger the show. Be sure to tell all of your friends to come and shop since many people may not be interested in selling now, but they may still love to shop. 

 

2) How to Price Your Items

Each seller is to set her own selling prices. We ask that all prices be in whole dollar increments. Items in excellent condition should sell between 25% and 50% of their original retail price.  Some items with original tags could sell for up to 60% of the original price. On Saturday the consignor has the option to reduce her clothing to half price. You may choose to reduce the prices on some or all of your items. When pricing, be sure to ask yourself what you would be willing to pay for the item. 

 

3) Brands Accepted 

There are hundreds of great brands that we accept and there is no way to list them all! If you have a brand that you are not sure if we accept, please email us at info@wigglewormbaby.com, and we will let you know.

• WiggleWorm may refuse to sell any brand.
• Regardless of brand, WiggleWorm will not sell:
  • toys, shoes or costumes
  • used bathing suits
  • items missing buttons or with broken zippers
  • clothing with stains, tears, fuzz balls, etc.
  • clothing that smells like smoke or mold
  • overly worn clothing

 

5) Preparing for the Sale

1)   E-mail us at info@wigglewormbaby.com to register as a consignor and we will e-mail the seller ID to you.

2)   Place clean and pressed clothing on hangers with the open mouth of the hanger facing left on children’s white plastic hangers only and regular size white plastic hangers for maternity clothes.

Please button all the buttons, snap the snaps, zip the zippers and tie the bows. Secure pants and accessories to the hanger with SAFETY PINS (no straight pins) as needed.

 

Please remember that PRESENTATION SELLS.

3)   Fill out the tags carefully using our tag template.  WiggleWorm is not responsible for any mis-tagged items.  The tag template needs to be typed and printed.  Please be sure to type in each field. 

a.   Item: brief description of the item

b.   Size: traditional sizes on your tags (3m, 6m, 9m, 12m, 18m, 2T, etc).  If the size is in an unconventional form (S, M, L), please use your best judgment to place it in the more traditional size. 

c.    Brand: name of the brand

d.   Price: in whole dollar increments 

e.   Discount: Yes or No.  On Saturday the consignor has the option to discount her clothing to half price.  You may choose to reduce the prices on some or all of your items.  You must type in “No” if you do not wish to discount your item.  If the field is left blank, the item will be automatically discounted on Saturday.  When pricing, be sure to ask yourself what you would be willing to pay for the item.

f.     Donate: Yes or No.  If your item(s) are not sold, you can choose to donate them to Goodwill and you will not need to pick them up. You may choose to donate some or all of your items.  You must type in “No” if you do not wish to donate your item.  If the field is left blank, the item will be automatically donated. 

g.   ID: The consignor ID that was assigned to you by WiggleWorm.  You must type in your own ID.  If the field is left blank, the item will become property of WiggleWorm.

h.   No: Please leave it blank

4)   When ready to print your tags, please print on a light colored cardstock paper.

5)   Attach the tag with a safety pin to the upper left hand corner (if you are looking at the garment, it will be on the right), or you may pin it to the tag in the collar or waistband.

6)   To make your check-in easier during your seller drop-off, please pre-sort your clothing by gender and size.

7)   Bring $5 for non-refundable registration fee.

 

6) Getting Your Payment

Your profits from the consignment show can be redeemed by either store credit with the benefit of a 10% discount on all in-store items or you may elect to receive a check.  Again, checks will be ready for pick-up on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at WiggleWorm.  

All unsold items will need to be picked up on Tuesday following the sale or they will be donated to Goodwill by WiggleWorm.
